What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCB Layout/Drafter position at Professional Employment Group of Colorado?
Provides PCB layout and part database support for the Hardware Engineering team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with PCB layout using OrCad and Altium design software.
- Manages parts library for PCB design. Organize existing database to include existing parts.
- Creates symbols and footprints for new components.
- Works closely with mechanical and electrical engineering to insure the PCB layout fits into the final assembly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience with PCB layout design.
- Knowledge of and experience with PCB layout part databases.
- Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience, both technical and non-technical.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Sense of urgency.
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
Salary : $30 - $32
