What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Design Technician position at Professional Engineering Consultants?

PEC is active in the market sectors of Education (K-12 and Higher Education), Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, Government, Manufacturing, Retail, Hospitality, Retirement Communities, Design-Build, Mission Critical, and Military/DOD.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicates and coordinates with the Engineer and other PEC Divisions in order to complete design tasks on numerous projects.
- Researches and understands client drafting and CAD standards and its relevance to the design process.
- Knowledge of Building Electrical Systems and Construction Methods
- Candidate will be responsible for production of construction documents for projects.
Qualifications:
- Obtain or currently working towards a certificate or degree providing training in CAD software or equivalent experience. Third party certification is a plus, however not required.
- Ability to read and understand plans and job specifications in order to implement design objectives and meet job requirements.
- 5 years full-time experience in the A/E/C industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact.
- Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
- Revit skills are preferred but will train as needed.
