What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician VF/Triage position at Professional Eye Associates?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform all scheduled visual fields, 10-2, 24-2, 30-2, bleph and ptosis visual fields.
Take photos of bleph and ptosis patients.
Ensure all reports transfer correctly to AXIS.
Monitor the visual field schedule for potential conflicts and notify supervisor AHEAD of time. (ie: a patient scheduled for testing that will not be allowable per their insurance, poorly scheduled time, etc.)
Work with supervisor on any updates or equipment issues that may arise.
Keep the Visual Field room stocked with supplies at all times.
Return patient phone calls and refill request in a timely manner.
Triage patient calls regarding medical information, requests to be seen, etc.
Sort outgoing mail from physicians office.
Maintain stock of Imprimis eye drops.
Fill out Prior Authorizations for medications.
Fill out DMV and FML paperwork.
Must speak fluent Spanish, we have a large patient base who are Spanish speaking patients.
This is a fast paced, busy position. Applicant must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask and communicate efficiently.
Other responsibilities will be assigned as needed by supervisor.
