What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Professional Eyecare Associates?
We have Optometric Technician positions open at our Ridgeland location.·
Job Duties include:
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone)
- · Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile
- · Practice urgency at all times with patient’s time, as well as doctor’s time and schedule
- · Comply with all company policies and procedures
- · Verify patient information by interviewing patient
- · Record medical history, current medications, and purpose of visit
- · Record all data in the patient's electronic medical record
- · Check condition of patient's eyes by observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements
- · Desired skills include: performing dilation, pressure check, and a variety of diagnostic tests including visual fields, OCT, auto refraction, and topography
- · Demonstrate working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and ocular medications
- · General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager
- · Other duties as assigned
