What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Clerk position at Professional Fabrications, Inc.?
Job Duties:
- Prepare documents, such as bills of lading, shipping labels and pack lists to route materials to correct customer or vendor.
- Wrap, pack, box, seal, and label materials for shipping using hand tools or power tools.
- Load products onto carrier trailers using forklift.
- Verify paperwork to ensure final inspection of quality is complete prior to shipment.
- Record quantity and weights for recordkeeping purposes.
- Determine proper packaging and shipping methods for materials to be shipped.
- Contact carrier representatives to arrange pickups or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Receive and examine shipment contents and compare with records such as pack lists, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
- Maintain customer stock orders and verify quantities.
- Deliver or route materials to departments using forklift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- OT available and can be flexible
Qualifications
- Proven experience in distribution center operations and warehouse environments
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Familiarity with order fulfillment and inventory management
- Proficient in using iPads and inventory management systems
- Ability to operate forklifts and reach trucks safely
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory tracking
- Experience with logistics and packaging techniques
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
