Role Description
We have full-time openings for technicians of all levels in Fire Protection, Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression at our locations in Hampton Roads, Newport News and Richmond, VA. The role involves inspecting, testing, maintaining and repairing fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, deluge, preaction), back flows, extinguishers, emergency lights, kitchen suppression systems, fire alarm systems, special hazards, fire and life safety, and troubleshooting at various commercial, industrial and residential locations. The role requires technical expertise in fire safety equipment, attention to detail, and adherence to fire protection codes and standards. Qualifications
- Fire Extinguisher and Fire Suppression Systems skills
- Life Safety and Fire Safety skills
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain functionality of systems, address concerns, and provide recommendations for corrective actions or upgrades
- Experience in fire protection systems
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
- Certifications in fire protection or related field are a plus (NICET, DPOR, BACKFLOW)
