Job Description: Event Operations Manager
Job Type: Part Time Seasonal
- Design and build golf event displays and signage as needed and in collaboration with the General Manager. Must be handy with woodworking and metal fabrication.
- Load and unload materials & equipment into trailer, ensuring that they are secured and organized properly to prevent damage during transportation
- Safely and efficiently operate PGPA vehicle and trailer to transport materials and equipment to and from events. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards and implement appropriate risk management measures.
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure that vehicles are in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to the General Manager.
- Coordinate and execute the setup and installation of display elements at event venues, ensuring that all signage, banners, and branding materials are positioned strategically for maximum visibility and impact.
- Troubleshoot any display or equipment issues that arise during the event and ensure that display elements remain intact and visually appealing throughout the duration of the event.
- Develop and manage budgets for display-related expenses, including materials, labor, and equipment rentals. Monitor expenditures and seek cost-effective solutions to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Report to PGPA General Manager
- Provide support to other PGPA Managers and Staff
- Attend PGPA Safety Committee meetings
- Participate in and assist with Day-of-Event activities
- Submit bi-weekly time sheets to PGPA Bookkeeper
- Participate in the PGPA Staff Sales Commission Program
- Solicit golfers, event sponsors, and potential clients
- Participate in the PGPA Health & Safety Program
- Follow the policies and procedures in the Staff Handbook
- Follow the policies and procedures outlined in the Health & Safety Manual
- Follow the policies and procedures outlined in the Golf Cannon Launch Safety Manual
- Participate in PGPA training as required
- Provide feedback and recommendations on PGPA directives established by PGPA Executive Team

Job Summary:
As our Event Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating with our Event Display Manager to effectively design and build event displays and signage. You will transport all event banners, signage, displays, and equipment to and from each event, and prepare and execute the set-up and take-down of all golf event displays and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each event is set up in a timely manner and that all tasks are performed efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with our standards of excellence. Your role will involve the design and build of visually appealing displays that enhance the overall experience for participants and guests while effectively showcasing sponsors and event themes while managing resources responsibly.
Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination: Manage logistical details such as display and equipment storage as well as transportation to and from each event.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in woodworking and metal fabrication required
- Valid Michigan driver license and clean driving record required
- Proven experience in safely maneuvering and backing up vehicles with trailers in various settings and conditions required
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality visual displays that align with brand standards and event objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and fabrication processes used in display and signage production
- Specific experience in golf event operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of golf rules and regulations is a bonus!
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, if required
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
Working Conditions:
This position requires loading and unloading of event display materials and equipment, transportation to and from event venues via company vehicle & trailer, and on-site presence during events, which involves outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
