JOB DESCRIPTION
The occupant of this position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance of landscaping features, including mowing, trimming, planting, and other general groundskeeping duties. This position also requires the safe operation of company vehicles for the transportation of equipment, materials, and employees to and from job sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Landscape Maintenance:
1- Performs grounds maintenance functions (e.g., pulling weeds, raking leaves, sweeping sidewalks, and cleaning debris).
2- Clears ditches, digs holes, and performs handwork as necessary using a pick, shovel, or other hand tools.
3- Waters vegetation using a hose; cleans canals, drains, and tree wells.
4- Performs various types of pruning (e.g., hard pruning, natural pruning, and formal pruning); properly prepares the soil and installs annual color, plants, and trees.
5- Maintains lawns and planter beds as directed by the Foreman.
6- Properly install tree stakes and ties.
7- Safely operate landscape equipment such as commercial mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and backpack sprayers.
8- Maintains tools and equipment to ensure safety.
9- Safely load and unload equipment on and off trucks and trailers.
10- Actively participates in safety meetings.
11- Actively contributes to achieving performance goals (e.g., job quality, safety, customer service); complies with all company policies and safety procedures.
12- Communicate effectively with other crew members, crew leader & leadership team.
Provide excellent service to clients, work-site partners, and company staff.
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience: One (1) year of professional landscape and grounds management experience (Preferred).
Experience driving trucks with trailers.
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (mandatory).
Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.25 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
