What are the responsibilities and job description for the APRN, Vein Institute of Pinellas, Part-time position at Professional Health Care of Pinellas LLC?
Join our team at Vein Institute of Pinellas (VIP) dedicated to providing comprehensive Vein and Vascular Care. This APRN position is a part-time position but may grow into a full-time opportunity with benefits. This position is for our St Pete location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical evaluation of new and established patients for venous insufficiency including leg pain, varicose veins, spider veins, venous ulcers, edema, and/or other health conditions
- Perform minimally invasive vein procedures including Radiofrequency Ablation, Varithena, Ambulatory Phlebectomy and Sclerotherapy
- Review and prescribe patient medications and compression stockings when necessary
- Collaborate with Vascular Surgeon, APRN, RVT, MA, Insurance Specialist, Front Desk Coordinator, and administrative staff to create a highly efficiency, organized and patient-oriented medical team
- Work independently, with strong communication and collaboration under the direction of our Program Physician and Program Lead APRN
- Refer patients who have been determined to need care outside our scope of practice
- Patient education about venous insufficiency and its complications
- Aid lymphedema patients obtain lymphatic pump and necessary supplies
- Perform initiation of basic wound care
- Collaborate with referring physicians
- Record clear and accurate medical documentation in the patient’s medical chart
- Aid as needed by direction program lead APRN with office coverage as needed
- Follow all applicable medical care regulations and safety protocols
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license required
- Minimum of two years of experience in related fields (vein clinic, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, dermatology, plastic surgery helpful)
- EMR experience required, prefer eClinicalWorks experience
- Demonstrate the ability to assess the full scope of patient needs
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Conduct courteous and professional manner
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
