Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and other laboratory procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, aseptic techniques, and excellent patient service skills. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnostic process, contributing to patient care in Assistant Livings, Nursing Homes, and Home bound setting in south side of Chicago .
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws efficiently and safely.
- Ensure proper identification of patients before procedures.
- Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to minimize infection risk.
- Collect and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Document all procedures and patient interactions in accordance with hospital policies.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during blood draws.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
