Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and other laboratory procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnostic process, contributing to patient care in Assistant Livings, Nursing Homes, and Home bound setting in south side of Chicago .
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws efficiently and safely.
- Ensure proper identification of patients before procedures.
- Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to minimize infection risk.
- Collect and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Document all procedures and patient interactions in accordance with hospital policies.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during blood draws.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
