Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. Duties
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide clinical counseling services, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapeutic modalities to support clients in their recovery journey.
- Manage cases effectively, coordinating care with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Offer crisis management services to individuals in acute distress, ensuring their safety and connecting them with necessary resources.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within hospital settings or community care environments to deliver holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any relevant assessments in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and addiction medicine.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Licensure or certification as a Counselor or Therapist is preferred.
- Experience in addiction medicine and home community care is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and case management practices.
- Strong understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy principles and crisis intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of counseling practice.
