Overview:
The Area Sales Representative will work autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts, both on and off premise, within the industry representing the Tarnished Truth Distilling Company and Coastal Cocktails. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics, as well as assisting client and wholesaler needs, and participating in marketing events to promote the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Sell our entire Tarnished Truth Distilling Company product portfolio, prioritizing Coastal Cocktails
- 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of products in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)
- Identifying major accounts that are not currently selling Tarnished Truth products, and developing a plan to establish business with such accounts
- Improving conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase visibility of the brand
- Partnering with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
- Conducting wholesaler trainings, waitstaff / bartender educations, retail tastings and promotions
- Working conditions vary greatly day to day due to customer facing nature of role
- May be the periodic requirement to work weekends and holidays to support the needs of the business
- Regular travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalers, with occasional travel to Virginia Beach for meetings and trainings

Experience - Knowledge and experience in sales and marketing within the distilled spirits industry preferred
Experience - Understanding of the rules and regulations at the state and federal level for marketing and sales of distilled spirits products
Experience - Knowledge of the process of distilled spirits production and Ready-To-Drink production
Experience - 1 years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
Skill - An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
Skill - Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
Skill - Ability to lift and move cases of product frequently and ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently
