Overview:
The Assistant Audio Visual Manager is responsible for excellence in guest experience as related to AV needs and services. In partnership with Sales and Catering teams, this role will be accountable for revenue generation through execution of AV sales service strategies, quality service standards and execution of the business and operating plans. The Assistant AV Manager promotes Associate engagement, retention and development through effective and engaging leadership of AV Associates.
Responsibilities:
- Support a culture that promotes effective communications, service excellence, teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and Associate satisfaction.
- Train, retain and mentor AV Associates to execute successful operation of the department. Collaborate with assigned recruiters to determine and implement hiring guidelines and standards
- Sets short- term and long range goals in collaboration with manager to ensure the achievement of the department's defined metrics.
- Drives guest satisfaction by ensuring seamless execution of Banquet Event Orders and maintaining quality service standards; this is accomplished by ensuring implementation of written standards for all AV Associates and proper utilization of training programs and booklets.
- Proposes AV Sales objectives and strategies; analyses industry trends to ensure market competitiveness.
- Ensure accountability for AV sales related business processes; lead import, new product and service offering, proposal preparation, event profitability, and labor billing.
- Ensures that assigned assets are properly maintained and protected; through regular inventory accountability, Associate training on proper usage, preventative maintenance and effective security of storage areas.
- Practices responsible financial management of the department. Works with manager to develop annual business plans and budgets, to accurately forecast financial performance and to deliver financial results in accordance with the budgets.
- Performs Emergency Response duties as required for this role in the Emergency Response Organization Chart and Plan.
Experience
Experience supervising a team of 3 or more associates.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in AV
Experience
A minimum of 7 years experience working within a hotel/event environment
Skill
Proficient using Microsoft Office Products
Skill
Proficient with Delphi Customer Relationship Management System (CRMS)
