Claims Analyst

Job Description:

A claims analyst will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating claims submitted by providers, ensuring their accuracy, eligibility and compliance with our policies and procedures. The claims analyst will also investigate claims, determining accuracy of reimbursement amounts and resolving any issues that may arise throughout the claims process.

Key Responsibilities:

· Reviewing claims submissions and verifying information.

· Approve, deny or reroute claims for additional information.

· Research and investigate claims when necessary. 

· Handle provider inquiries.

· Handle member inquiries.

· Prepare regulatory encounter submissions.

· Work with members in the gas reimbursement program.

Requirements

• · Strong Excel skills.
• · Excellent attention to detail
• · Past claims experience preferred but not required.
• · Great attitude and communication skills.
• Medicaid and/or Medicare Claims rules, pricing and billing practices.
• Knowledge of ANSI Standards for 835 and 837p claims.
• Familiarity with Claims Adjudication workflows.

Strong preference will be given to candidates with any of the following experiences:· Health Care Payment Cycle and Claim forms.
