Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Spray Foam Insulator to join our insulation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying spray foam insulation to residential and commercial buildings to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. You will ensure all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare work areas by setting up materials, equipment, and ensuring proper ventilation.
- Apply spray foam insulation to walls, ceilings, and other structures in accordance with project specifications.
- Inspect surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and assess insulation thickness to meet required R-values.
- Operate and maintain spray foam equipment, including troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.
- Remove existing insulation when necessary and ensure surfaces are ready for application.
- Follow safety protocols to protect yourself, team members, and the work environment, including the use of PPE.
- Clean and organize job sites, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Communicate with customers and team members about project progress and any issues encountered.
- Stay updated on the latest spray foam insulation techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in spray foam insulation or general construction is preferred.
- Familiarity with insulation materials, spray foam equipment, and application processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow them rigorously.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces, attics, and on ladders.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and kneeling.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to wear and work in a full-face respirator for extended periods.
