What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Professional Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine?
Co-Owned since 1995 by Steven J Orrock, MPT, ATC and Wendell B. Mendenhall, MPT, we have a long history of successful and satisfied patients. Our approach is to listen to the patient first to understand their needs and develop a treatment plan to meet their healing goals. Our outpatient clinic is highly fast paced with a focus on sports medicine, though we see patients with a wide range of conditions ranging from post-surgical to chronic.
We are looking for someone that has a flexible schedule. Mostly Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons with a possibility of an occasional morning shift. We coordinate schedules with the other receptionist.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for multiple staff members
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and transcribing documents
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Experience:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a medical or dental office is a bonus
