We are seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer to join our partners team. This is a first shift, direct hire opportunity.
This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to be part of a team shaping the future of automation in the machine build industry. As an Electrical/Controls Engineer, you will cover all aspects of design engineering, including power management, code compliance, logic architecture, component selection, and integration with mechanical, robotic, and software systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, modify, and support industrial equipment and processing systems.
- Engage with supplier representatives and customers to identify specifications, components, and systems as necessary.
- Prepare drawings for component layout and machine wiring schematics.
- Develop, modify, and maintain code for PLC, HMI, and Robotic systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to produce project documentation, including instructions for service and repair manuals.
- Interface with personnel across the organization to ensure accuracy of documentation.
- Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and field service personnel.
- Investigate system, equipment, or product failures.
- Evaluate performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.
- Identify new applications for existing and new technologies.
- Research industrial processes or operations.
- Coordinate safety or regulatory compliance activities.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.E.E., B.S.M.E.T.) with 5 or more years of experience in automation design.
