If this sounds like you, take the next steps and APPLY NOW!Position Duties & Responsibilities : Maintain spare parts inventory – determine and manage stocking levelsOrder parts as needed from local vendors and cataloguesChange bearings, belts and idler pulleys on trough-style conveyorsClean and change pneumatic valves on optical sorting machines, and maintain work areaCommunicate equipment issues with mechanics and supervisors from other shiftsMaintain and secure work toolsCreate sorting computer software / parameter backupsGeneral PM and repairs of bucket elevators & screw conveyor, fork lifts, front end loaders and sweepersInstall facility machineryBack-up for maintenance techniciansPerform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairsPerform checks and basic maintenance on Non-Ferrous Metal DetectorComplete daily maintenance and repair logs, and maintain preventive maintenance program (PM) for mechanical and electrical equipmentProvide on-the-job training to new employees Rigging of motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy componentsWeld and fabricate, patch holes in steel chutes and transitionsProblem solving and project managementTeam player, able to lead and contribute to a team effortSkillsAdvanced mechanical and electrical maintenanceGood communications Proficient computer MS Office, Excel, a plusWelding and fabricationQualificationsLean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives experience strongly preferredStrong experience with mechanical conveyors3-5 years experience in industrial maintenanceWelding and Fabrication strongly preferredConveyor experience required480V electrical troubleshootingStrong attention to detailProblem SolverAble to accomplish maintenance tasks independently, under limited supervisionExperience with basic schematics and electrical systems including but not limited to : level probes, flow meters, switches, starters, fuses, wiring, etc.Experience with mechanical systems including but not limited to : gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, valves, cylinders, motor brakes, air compression, precision alignment, rigging motors, tensioning fasteners & belts, lubrication
