Our teams have an amazing opportunity in the Independence / Valley View area for a Industrial Maintenance Technician! This is a flex shift company, but training will be 6am-2pm on first shift! The position is 1st shift!!!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe able to read, interpret, and modify electrical prints and schematics and document all self-created changes.General understanding and hands on experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe work environments.General understanding and hands on experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe work environments. Knowledge of applicable NEC and NFPA codes.Proficiency in electrical installations with conduit and wiring practices.Experience using sensing and control devices. Proximity switches through beam sensors, laser distance sensors)Experience using both DC and AC monitors, VG drives and Servo Controlled Systems.Support and follow the Lock Out / Tag Out program.Must fully understand and adhere to the ARC Flash and electrical shock prevention.Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.Three-Five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.Ability to write reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively to associates of the organization.Experience in the use of care of a variety of tools, equipment, and machines are essential.Working knowledge of all the construction trades is required, including electrical wiring, electronic controls, troubleshooting of PLC’s, machining, plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
