Role and ResponsibilitiesWe have an immediate opportunity for a Manual Machinist - Bridgeport with 3-5 years of experience. In this position, you will help us create tools and other components using a variety of materials and equipment.Including lathes, mills, drill presses, shapers, bandsaws, shear, punch presses, grinding machines, etc. Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities- Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job. Follow the blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components.- Perform all assigned machine shop operations.- Operate machine for milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, and polishing materials.- Finish projects using manual tools and precision instruments, including mics & calipers.- Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)- Performs inspections of machined products and documents results.- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.Education requirements : High School Diploma or equivalentVocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship.Preferred Skills : 3-5 years of manual machining experience (BRIDGEPORT)Additional NotesINTERPERSONAL, TEAM SKILLSMust be able to follow established methods and procedures, must have good verbal and written communication skills; good organization skills; use of job-related micrometers; blueprint reading ability, and mechanical ability.Must demonstrate attitude, ability, and willingness to contribute to a respectful team environment.
