Position Description

The Inspector is responsible for achieving maximum productivity and a quality painted product on time for our customers by unracking, inspecting, and packaging painted products.

Customer Service – Foster harmonious and mutually beneficial relationships with both the internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Visually inspect all finished parts and accept/reject parts per customer specifications.
  • Unracks parts per shop paper and inspects per Reference Binder.
  • Packages parts per shop paper.
  • Assists in coordinating and communicating information of any necessary stripping/burn-off of any rejected parts.
  • Recognize process/product-related issues and provide possible solutions to avoid rework and maximize productivity.
  • Maintain the pursuit of 100% on-time order completion.
  • Maintain the pursuit and accomplishment of zero defects.
  • Assist in racking when necessary to achieve maximum efficiency and zero customer complaints/returns.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

High school Diploma or equivalent and one to three months related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with co-workers

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, feel and operate equipment; talk and hear. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Pay: Up to $21.50 with base wage, shift premium, and discretionary bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $20.50 per hour
