Position Summary:

Power Solutions International participates in E-Verify. We are currently not offering Sponsorship or Relocation Assistance for this role.

The Assembly Technician Trainer is responsible for training incoming newly hired Assembly Team members on proper building procedures and techniques. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, teach, train, and track the progress of assembly team members. Other tasks in this role include working on units directly, to ensure adherence to the shipping schedule.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Step-by-step training of all new Assembly Team Members, using various techniques, and follow-up to ensure understanding and retention of each skillset
  • Evaluate the employees based on their ability to learn and perform the job safely and accurately
  • Tracking individual team members progress on flex chart throughout training period
  • Develop, guide, and mentor employees to become successful in the assembler role
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately within 1/16th of an inch
  • Accurately read and set torque wrench to required specifications and read and interpret blueprints
  • Required to work from elevated surfaces including ladders, lifts, platforms, and trusses
  • Ability to work with and install insulation
  • Must be able to work on hands and knees for extended periods
  • Must be certified on both bridge crane and Manlifts or have previous experience
  • Act as the Safety Coordinator ensuring the employees are adhering to the safety guidelines
  • Conduct ongoing or as needed safety re-training for all employees
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace/training area
  • Other tasks as assigned by Management

SHIFT: Monday- Friday and every other Saturday from 5:00AM-3:30PM

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Completion of a trade school or training program is a plus
  • Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner using various platforms
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Previous experience in an industrial or construction environment preferred
  • Experience using power, pneumatic, and hand tools
  • Previous experience with Bridge crane and manlift operation
  • Tape Measure proficient to 16th of an inch
  • Physical ability to stand for 10-12 hours if needed and work on hands and knees for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders at high altitudes for extended periods
