Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions-certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions for the leading global equipment manufacturers in the industrial, transportation, and energy markets manufacturers. Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Director, the Supply Chain Expeditor is responsible for eliminating parts shortages for the production lines and driving shipment of past due orders from vendors.
This position is located in Darien, WI.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive activities to eliminate material shortages in the production lines through communication with vendors and external logistics companies
Identify recurring material availability issues for root cause analysis
Work with vendors to prioritize and expedite past-due orders
Responsible for communicating component supply details to Operations via Production Meetings, e-mail, and providing daily status reports
Update PO due dates in the Epicor system
All other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years experience in a purchasing or business-related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office software including Excel
- Experience with ERP systems; especially Vantage or Epicor preferred
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills including functions such as V-lookup
- Ability to support a team as well as function independently
- Must be self-directed and motivate
- Ability to manage multiple detail-oriented tasks while working under tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MRP systems, ideally with Epicor
