Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic professionalto focus on the Electric Vehicle and EV Charging sectors and other growing market sectors to drive business development and expand our market presence. The individual will be responsible for cultivating opportunities with OEMs, leveraging industry connections, and positioning the company as a comprehensive solutions provider. This role focuses on delivering a unique, service-driven value proposition while integrating distribution products into complete customer solutions. The position is based on the West Coast and reports directly to the VP of Sales for Emerging Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain a pipeline of leads through industry contacts, event participation, and strategic outreach in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
- Lead the creation of project proposals, working closely with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Marketing.
- Strengthen customer relationships by engaging stakeholders across R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Marketing, ensuring alignment with innovative product initiatives.
- Negotiate and structure contractual agreements, securing buy-in from customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Foster high-level relationships with key decision-makers, including executives, within assigned accounts.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company's products, services, and solutions in client interactions and presentations.
- Track and forecast sales, revenue, and market trends, consistently meeting or exceeding set targets.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop strategic plans addressing industry shifts, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
- Serve as an industry thought leader by engaging in professional organizations, attending key events, and sharing insights internally and externally to generate business opportunities.
- Coordinate efforts with other commercial teams to maximize customer engagement and revenue potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in sales, preferably within the Electric Vehicle industry or related technical solutions.
- Expertise in managing complex sales proposals and negotiations.
- Experience operating in a multicultural business environment with international exposure is advantageous.
- Strong track record in selling high-value, technology-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver executive-level presentations and reports.
- Ability to build effective relationships across engineering, supply chain, and executive leadership within client organizations.
- Proven success in driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, and leveraging CRM tools for pipeline management.
- Skilled in influencing internal and external stakeholders to develop tailored business solutions.
