Senior Financial Accountant

Fully Remote but must work 9-5P.M. PST hours

General Statement of Duties

• The Senior Financial Accountant ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Being a Senior Financial Accountant analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.

• Reviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions
• Communicating with company Executives about financial strategies
• Interacting with all other financial organizational personnel and outside auditors
• Streamlining existing accounting processes and procedures
• Analyzing operational data and maintaining data accuracy and integrity
• Preparing account reconciliations and analysis
• Assisting with the preparation of financial plans and budgets
• Analyzing, interpreting and communicating cost and expense variances to management
• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
• Preparing financial statements
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
• Performing complex accounting needs for their employer

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

• Requires a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• Requires 4 to 7 years of related experience
  
  

Preferred:

• CPA or Master’s in business administration
