ONSITE POSITION – not a remote or hybrid position
Job Summary:
Provide customer service for members and non-members through phone and email communication. Help association members with questions, concerns, self-service assistance, and payments. Coordinate with other PRCA departments to ensure proper flow of information. Maintain individual membership records for association members.
Essential Duties:
- Create and process membership applications and renewals; sometimes coordinating with other related membership organizations including Mexico, Canada, and NIRA
- Assist members with billing, dues, fines, and fees, including processing credit card payments
- Update and maintain accurate member data, in multiple software systems
- Verify authentication of submitted data (doctor’s releases, membership years, etc.)
- Audit rodeos on a weekly basis, including weekends as needed in high season
- Protect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal information
- Provide assistance to outside auditors with files and data, during scheduled reviews in office
- Clearly communicate association guidelines.
- Provide administrative support for membership department mailings (renewals, insurance cards, rule books, statements, etc.).
- Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices is required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective English written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Ability to calmly meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Ability to take initiative and be responsive
- Computer literate with strong data entry skills
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Friendly and service-oriented
- Team-oriented
- General knowledge of rodeos is a plus
Work Environment:
Working conditions consist of working in an office environment.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and stand.
