Assembler/Sewer
This position will be responsible for accurately assembling leather goods and using industrial machines in which to sew parts together. Hours are Monday - Friday with flexible hours between 6:00 am- 5:00 pm. Both full and part-time positions are available. Must have good hand strength.
Responsibilities
- Sewing both leather and nylon products
- Hand sewing
- assemble leather components
- Braid cord, burn ends of ropes, cut leather laces, skive leather.
- Use of Hand press
- Tagging and stamping leather
- Various leather machinery used
- Keep a safe and clean work environment and optimize space utilization
- Report and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements
- Good eye-hand coordination
- Good attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk and/or be on feet 30% of the workday
Compensation
- $13.00-$16.00 per hour depending on experience
