Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Program Manager to provide strategic environmental support for a utility contractor. This role involves developing and refining environmental policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and offering occasional field oversight to uphold environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental compliance, permitting, and risk management within utility or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and refine environmental strategies, policies, and compliance programs.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act).
- Support proposal development and regulatory documentation to articulate environmental commitments.
- Oversee environmental permitting processes, including coordination with regulatory agencies.
- Provide high-level environmental guidance to project teams and leadership.
- Conduct occasional site visits to verify compliance with environmental policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between the company, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Train and support field personnel in environmental compliance best practices.
- Develop and review environmental reports, audits, and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.
