Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team in Salome, AZ, USA. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of construction projects, particularly in high-voltage environments (HVE). The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong leadership and communication skills to foster a culture of safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safety Program Development and Implementation :
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and AEP standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Training and Education :
- Provide safety training sessions, including CPR / AED / First Aid, for team members and contractors.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) training to enhance problem-solving capabilities in the event of safety incidents.
- Incident Management :
- Lead investigations for all incidents, including near misses, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Perform root cause analysis for safety incidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Regulatory Compliance :
- Maintain compliance with OSHA 30 standards and other relevant safety regulations.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Collaboration and Communication :
- Partner with project management, site supervisors, and contractors to foster a culture of safety.
- Ensure that all employees and contractors adhere to site safety protocols.
