Business Analyst

Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking a Business Analyst to join their dynamic client’s team! The Business Analyst will play a key role in the technical aspects of product development, serving as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team. The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and communicating stakeholder requirements, performing quality assurance, and optimizing workflows through automation. In collaboration with the IT Director, the Business Analyst will help manage the JIRA-based ticketing system and assist in planning and maintaining bi-weekly Sprints for the development team. The Business Analyst requires analyzing complex business processes and data to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement, and translating those insights into clear documentation, including mockups, process diagrams, functional specifications, and requirements documentation.

The is for a not-for-profit national trade association supporting motorcyclists in the U.S. by representing manufacturers, distributors, dealers and retailers of motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, ROVs, motorcycle/ATV/ROV parts, accessories and related goods and services, and members of allied trades such as insurance, finance and others with a commercial interest in the industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives and system enhancements.
• Continuously evaluate and communicate system requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Maintain and improve business systems and processes, including the preparation and distribution of bi-weekly status reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure business needs and objectives are accurately reflected in product capabilities and technical solutions.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive documentation for new projects and enhancements, including functional specifications, design documents, and business process workflows.
• Create and execute detailed project management plans, ensuring clear, consistent communication across all project phases.
• Contribute to the design and execution of functional, integration, and regression testing for new features, releases, and system improvements.
• Facilitate meetings and lead demonstrations of new system functionality, gathering feedback and input from end users.
• Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of key systems, features, and their respective functionalities to effectively support business and technical teams.

Required Education/Experience/Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role
• Proficiency with JIRA or other project management and issue tracking tools
• Experience creating mockups, wireframes, or using tools like Figma, Balsamiq, or Lucidchart
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in Sprint planning and execution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, and a collaborative team player
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and adherence to timelines
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, across local and remote teams
• Familiarity with software security principles and regulatory standards such as SOC 2 and PCI DSS is preferred
