What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Professional Search Network?
Job Description
- Execute month-end closing responsibilities for all assigned entities and/or accounts on a timely basis
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Perform detailed analytics to identify anomalies and discrepancies, and evaluate trends
- Reconcile accounts and gather/create supporting documentation to validate account balances
- Coordinate documentation support and correspondence for external audits
- Create SOPs to document new and existing processes, recommending and implementing change as needed
- Perform special projects and reporting as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
- 2 years of General Ledger Accounting experience
- Experience working in an inventory-based, trading or manufacturing business required; CPG experience preferred
- Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency with MS Office (Specifically Excel) and experience with accounting software
- Ability to communicate with different levels of the organization
- Excellent attention to detail
- Aptitude and desire to think outside the box and implement change
- Proven experience to work with minimum supervision
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
