Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. What are we looking for? The Environmental Asbestos Technician is responsible for supporting the Environmental department in all services including asbestos surveys, asbestos third party monitoring, lead-based paint survey and more. This person will complete fieldwork as well as work on technical reports. This position will require some overnight regional travel. Shift / Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 00AM-4 : 30PM (may vary) What you'll do :

• Perform field sampling of asbestos and other indoor air quality media as part of site assessment and remediation activities on projects as directed by senior team members.
• Assist in the development of work scope, report preparation, client and subcontractor coordination, and assessment of proper response actions
• Maintain Training Records / Field Instrumentation / Certifications (will provide training updates)
• Participate in all QA / QC programs as appropriate and Safety Programs
• Ability to communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to keep projects moving and on schedule
• Operates testing equipment and conducts testing and provides assessment of data through reporting This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications :
• BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field OR
• 2 years of experience in the Environmental, Health, & Safety Field (asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold inspecting, sampling, assessment, etc.)
• Current Asbestos Inspector License - State of Missouri or ability to apply for license within the first 30 days of employment
• Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Must be computer literate and able to operate most field / office equipment relating to one's discipline
• Must be able to climb ladders and lift, move, push, and pull items with weights in excess of 30 pounds multiple times as needed to complete project requirements
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime and willing to work out of town occasionally Preferred Requirements & Qualifications :
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER
