We are seeking compassionate and committed individuals to join our In-Home Safety Services (IHSS) program. As the Safety Services Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting families referred by Child Protective Services and the Ongoing Unit to maintain safety in homes where children are at risk for removal. You will work closely with families to address a wide range of concerns, including: safety, parenting, household management, nutrition, safe and stable housing, service acquisition, education, employment, medical, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues. The Safety Services Worker also supports families after youth have been reunified following an out-of-home placement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SAFETY SERVICES WORKER:
- Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
- Analyze client situations, capabilities and problems to determine services required to control safety threats.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Act as an on call resource to evaluate and determine necessary responses in de-escalating crisis situations with youth and families.
- Conduct face-to-face contact with families, per program standards, to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plan.
- Provide timely client updates to other involved employees/agencies.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
- Assist with Supervised Visitation Program as needed to transport clients to family visits.
LOCATION: Office is located in Sheboygan, WI. Local travel is required to meet at client homes throughout Sheboygan County, with mileage reimbursement.
SALARY: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
SCHEDULE: Part-time weekend hours, every other weekend. Each shift is about 3-5 hours.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
- One year of experience working with at-risk youth and families is preferred, but not required.
