Description:
Professional Skills Institute (PSI) is seeking a highly organized and motivated Lab Coordinator
/ Nursing Faculty to support and enhance the educational experience of our nursing students. This
full-time position is ideal for a registered nurse with a passion for both teaching and operational
leadership in an academic setting.
Position Overview:
This is a dynamic, dual-function role that blends academic instruction with lab coordination. The
position is evenly divided between overseeing the daily operations of the nursing lab and providing
instructional support within the nursing curriculum. This includes teaching assigned courses,
facilitating lab-based learning, and assisting with faculty coverage when
needed. It’s an ideal opportunity for a nurse educator who enjoys both hands-on teaching and
organizational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the nursing skills and simulation labs
- Develop and manage lab schedules in coordination with faculty and program leadership
- Monitor and maintain inventory and equipment to ensure lab readiness
- Coordinate and assign lab faculty and support staff
- Act as a liaison between lab staff, instructors, and administration
- Teach assigned nursing courses and provide hands-on instruction in lab settings
- Substitute for instructors as necessary
- Ensure all instructional and lab practices meet academic and accreditation standards
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current, unencumbered Ohio RN license
- Minimum of two years’ clinical experience as an RN
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in nursing education or lab coordination
- Familiarity with simulation equipment and instructional technology
Compensation:
