Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics and Information Technology Support Services. We are currently seeking a RFID SME V to join our team of professionals in support of the DoD.
The RFID SME V position provides leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the program has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people/systems in place to effectively deliver results to the government client.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Serve as technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Automatic Identification Technology (AIT), primarily pRFID, but including Bluetooth, mesh, 4G/5G cellular, etc.
- Lead RFID identification, specification(s) development, and solution design/engineering to meet and exceed performance and quality in multiple use cases/environments, predominantly industrial/commercial.
- Create documentation packages for each proposed site to include as-builts, diagrams, CAD drawings, installation instructions, spectrum analysis reports, etc.
- Conduct and support site surveys to include spectrum analysis, requirements gathering, system design, tag selection/placement, business processes, etc.
- Manage and perform AIT, RFID installations.
- Perform market research for RFID/AIT products and provide implementation recommendations.
- Develop detailed design drawings that depict the evaluation of wireless communication and sensing systems.
- Develop and provide site specific training for users, managers, etc.
- Review and support the development of DoD policy using approved formatting guidelines.
- Conduct assessments and detailed reports on AIT hardware and software.
- Develop and review briefs on AIT technologies and efforts.
- Perform demonstrations of adopted or trial technologies.
- Develop implementation plans for adopted AIT.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Work Environment: This job operates in a mix of environments to include: teleworking, professional office environment, warehouses, Naval bases/shipyards, outdoors, etc. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift 50lb, climb ladders, crouch, kneel, and work with tools and machinery. Must be able to wear appropriate safety equipment (e.g. a hard-hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, etc.)
Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During travel weeks, additional hours of work may be required. (2) separate locations, each consisting of (2) weeks travel on-site, followed by (6) weeks of remote teleworking.
Travel: This position requires 100% travel during each of the (2) week site surveys per location, then the position will transition to remote for the following (6) weeks to create documentation. Travel locations include (2) different sites (HI and WA). Prior to the initial site survey, the Teams will be brought on (1) week in advance to ensure everything needed is created/covered with the new team members. Team members will receive notification of travel (3) weeks prior to travel date.

- Master’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:
- Approximately ten years’ experience with active and passive RFID and frequencies in commercial or DoD industry.
- Must be skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
- Must be familiar with the concept of mesh technology and backhaul communications.
