Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics and Information Technology Support Services. We are currently seeking a Technical Writer II to join our team of professionals in support of the DoD. The projected start date is February 2025.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Review incoming correspondence and materials and prepare executive level summaries.
- Use established templates, as mandated, or design document layouts to assist project/program managers with the preparation of official documents (e.g., acquisition planning documents, briefings, information papers, correspondence, technical document (i.e., engineering, cloud technology).
- Review documentation for accuracy of grammar and punctuation and perform quality control to ensure consistency of writing style. Ensure terminology is correct and consistent throughout the documents.
- Review and recommend updates to ensure published document standards (e.g., appropriate use of graphics, headings, figure and table captions, page breaks and index and glossary entries) are met. Advise and recommend use of graphics and supplemental illustration within a document to enhance its clarity and usability.
- Ensure documentation and document review processes are in accordance with all mandatory DoD, Department of Navy (DON), and Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) policies, directives, regulations, and guidance.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Work Environment: This job operates in both teleworking and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and operate office equipment.
Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time position. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with the core hours being 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Travel: Travel may be required within and outside of the local area to support the task requirements such as attendance at meetings, demonstrations, and working group meetings.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)

Education:
- Associate’s degree in English or Business, concentration in comprehensive writing or English highly desired

Experience:
- 3 years of related experience
- ** In the interview process, Candidate must be able to discuss their proofing methodology and tools used during editing to ensure quality control

Clearance:
- Must be US Citizen, must be able to pass a background investigation per local law and regulations, and must be authorized to work in the U.S., must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Active DoD Security Clearance is preferred.
