Hospital Licensed Practical Nurse $48 / hr
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a strong background in Med-Surg nursing, tracheotomy care, and telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hospital experience providing care to adult patients preparing for or recovering from surgical procedures. This role requires comfort and expertise in medical care; candidates with a heavy psych background are not preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver patient-focused care in a Med-Surg environment, with an emphasis on preoperative and postoperative support for adult patients
- Provide routine care for tracheostomies, including suctioning and maintaining tracheostomy tubes
- Track and record vital signs and heart activity using telemetry equipment
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient care plans
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care, medication instructions, and recovery procedures
