The Field Service Rep position is a full-time position with health benefits and 401k and pto plus sick time. The pay range for this position is $50-80K based on experience. This position is in Anchorage, Alaska.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Technical Expertise :
Troubleshoot and maintain TSS hardware, including displays, monitors, computers, peripherals (hard drives, video cards), and printers.
Diagnose and resolve software issues, perform software upgrades and installations.
Maintain optimal system performance by updating software and site data.
Perform system backups and implement recovery procedures.
Install and configure operating systems and applications as needed.
Training and Support :
Deliver TSS maintenance and operation training to FAA personnel.
Operate and maintain the TSS for proficiency, recurrent, and qualification training.
Provide briefings to FAA and Contractor management on simulator performance and utilization.
Develop and maintain reports detailing simulator usage and training types.
Scenario Development and Management :
Back up and manage scenario data, ensuring its integrity and accessibility.
Act as a Pseudo Pilot during training, simulating aircraft movement and communication with ATCT controllers.
Tower Simulation Scenario Development :
Design detailed procedures for building training scenarios that integrate specific objectives.
Independently create scenarios based on FAA requests.
Train FAA personnel on creating and maintaining scenarios.
Qualifications :
Minimum 10 years of total work experience, including :
Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware and operating systems.
Experience with systems similar to or more complex than Air Traffic Control Simulation Systems (Tower and Radar) preferred.
One of the following :
A minimum of 4 years of FAA or US Military operational Air Traffic Control (ATC) experience .
A combination of FAA and US Military operational ATC experience totaling at least 4 years.
A degree in Air Traffic Control or Air Traffic Management from an approved Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) institution. (List of approved institutions available at : https : / / www.faa.gov / jobs / students / schools)
