Job description
Professional Staffing Services is seeking an experienced and prefer a CPC certified medical coder for a pathology billing office.
This is a contract to hire position. You convert over permanently with the client after 4 months. Health insurance benefits are provided by the client once you convert over permanently.
Qualified candidates must have the following :
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience examining documents for missing information.
- Experience assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ASA codes.
- Experience assigning APC and DRG codes.
- Experience ensuring documents are grammatically correct and free from typing errors.
- Experience with insurance rejections.
- Experience with ICD-10
- Ability to appeal claims that have been denied in error.
- Multi-tasking skills
- Drug-free
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be able to undergo a background check.
Shift : Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)
Pay rate : $18-20 per hr.based on experience. Those with experience and certification will be considered for a higher rate. Once taken on perm by the client you receive a raise along with health benefits. The client covers 100% of benefits. The employees do not have to pay a premium.
