What you’ll do as a Lead Safety
- Plan Implementation & Enforcement:
- Ensure strict adherence to the customer's Health and Safety Plan by all personnel, including our three partner contractors.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Develop and implement site-specific safety plans as needed.

Contractor Oversight:
- Monitor and evaluate the safety performance of our three partner contractors, ensuring their compliance with the customer's safety requirements.
- Conduct regular contractor safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Stop work authority when needed.

Incident Investigation & Reporting:
- Investigate all incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all safety-related activities, including inspections, audits, and incident reports.
- Prepare and submit regular safety reports to project management and the customer.

Training & Communication:
- Conduct safety training and orientations for all personnel, including contractors.
- Communicate safety updates and best practices to all stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Maintain a positive safety culture.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Ensure that the project complies with all relevant safety standards and codes.
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing safety plans and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and oversee multiple contractors.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant safety certifications are highly preferred.
- First Aid/CPR certified.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments, and in various weather conditions.
- Valid Drivers License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale telecommunications construction projects.
- Experience working with fiber optic cable installation.
- Experience with aerial and underground construction
Salary Range $75,000-$90,000
