JOB DESCRIPTION
Hourly Rate: $24 - $26 (Pay is contingent on skills and/or qualifications)
Job Type – Full-time
Shift and Schedule – Monday to Friday
Work Setting – In Person
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Denver, CO
Reports to: Director of Operations
The Education Coordinator oversees, coordinates, and runs the day-to-day tasks of key company projects and activities listed under Main Objectives. This involves using existing processes and templates, and creating new ones as needed, and coordinating with subject matter experts, staff, and contractors. The Education Coordinator works independently and as part of a team.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
The Education Coordinator is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation and accomplishment of these main objectives:
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of the Working with Older Adults (WWOA) classes:
Zoom, in-person, and online
- Administer and run the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Oversee and coordinate the update and production of brochures, guides, and Public Service Presentations (PPTs) as needed
- Conduct student follow up and support
- Obtain renewals of continuing education approvals for the WWOA course
- Obtain and schedule presenters for the monthly webinars program
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design and development, business, or a related area, or certification in project management
- 2-5 years of years of experience in overseeing, coordinating, or administering projects and processes in business or a related field
- Experience running digital or online programs and systems
- Strongly preferred: 2 – 5 years of experience in writing, editing, proof reading in business communications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- High level of expertise in noticing details and ensuring accuracy
- Advanced interpersonal communications and relationship-building abilities and skills
- Proficiency in written communications skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills -- Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook and proficient Zoom and Survey Monkey skills
- Sound business judgment; demonstrated ability to be very resourceful in resolving issues
- Self-motivated; takes ownership of the job; works with minimal supervision and as a team member
ABILITY TO RELOCATE/COMMUTE:
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are to use skills and abilities in project oversight, coordination, and implementation to successfully accomplish these projects:
- WORKING WITH OLDER ADULTS CLASS
All Classes*
- Class administration: create class schedules and ensure they are posted in the online Events Calendar in a timely manner. Update and distribute class materials and communications to students and instructors, including evaluations and student rosters; approve instructor expense reports*
- Monitor the effectiveness and quality of classes; troubleshoot issues as needed
Zoom Class
- Start and administer Zoom classes and functions; support instructors and students as needed; administer student surveys in Survey Monkey
- Train instructors in using Zoom as needed
- All applicable tasks listed in “All Classes” above
In-Person Class
- Arrange for training room set up, including A/V equipment, registration table, refreshments; be available during the class to assist as needed

LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS)
- Serve as SCSA’s LMS administrator: learn how to use the LMS features and tools, and CyberDuck. Answer student questions about using the online course. Work as needed with the vendor support team.
- Record Zoom webinars with subject matter experts; oversee the production of final videos and upload them to the online course (LMS) as needed.
BROCHURES, GUIDES, PRESENTATIONS
Oversee and coordinate the process to update company brochures, guides, and PPT presentations as needed using an existing process:
- Contact and oversee subject matter experts (SMEs) to update content
- Oversee the production schedule and deadlines, including copy editing and proofreading
- Print materials: work with a graphics artist to produce a print-ready file and coordinate with the printer
- For PPTs: produce the final PPTs, work as needed with SMEs and a graphics artist
