We are a North Carolina based telecommunication company seeking a dedicated and skilled utility worker licensed in Florida to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting underground utility operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various types of utility equipment, including backhoes, front loader trucks, and loaders.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution.
- Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation.
- Perform concrete finishing and forming tasks for infrastructure projects.
- Utilize pipe lasers for precise alignment during installation processes.
- Assist in welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading for effective project execution.
- Experience in utility locating techniques to prevent damage during excavation.
- Skilled in backhoe operation for digging and material handling.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing and forming processes for construction projects.
- Familiarity with front loader truck operations for transporting materials.
- Competence in using pipe lasers for accurate installations.
- Experience in loader operation to assist with material movement on-site.
- Understanding of oil and gas industry standards is a plus.
- Bilingual is preferred but not required
Required:
- Valid Florida Underground utility Contractor License
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in underground utility construction or a related field
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
