Job Overview :

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading MEP firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing all aspects of electrical construction documents, including comprehensive drawings and technical specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects across data centers, electrical safety systems, and industrial control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering with a focus on power distribution, control systems, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play an integral role in the design, development, and documentation of electrical systems for a variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Design and Development : Lead the creation of electrical design and construction documents, including detailed schematics, technical drawings, and specifications for power distribution, control systems, and electrical safety systems.
  • Project Support : Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support data center projects, industrial control systems, and electrical safety initiatives.
  • System Analysis & Integration : Analyze and evaluate existing electrical systems, recommending improvements and optimizations. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure system integration and functionality.
  • Technical Coordination : Coordinate the electrical design with other MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration of all building systems.
  • Compliance and Standards : Ensure designs comply with all applicable national and local codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA, NEC, and IEEE.
  • Client Communication : Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide ongoing updates on project status. Assist with presentations to clients, stakeholders, and other external entities.
  • Project Documentation : Generate and manage accurate documentation related to electrical designs, including calculations, technical reports, and submittals.
  • Site Visits & Inspections : Travel to project sites as required to conduct field assessments, inspections, and system testing.
  • Continuous Learning & Development : Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, industry trends, and technology, applying them to your projects.

Experience & Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience : 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power distribution design, control systems, and electrical safety. Experience with data centers and industrial control systems is a plus.
  • Skills :
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in the areas of power distribution, control systems, and electrical safety.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar).
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, IEEE).
  • Knowledge of load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit analysis.
  • Ability to create accurate and detailed technical documents, including construction drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
