We are seeking a technical Quality Manager for a key client of ours in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and printed circuit board manufacturing industries. This is a full-time, salaried position on the east side of Cincinnati. This role is critical to the organization’s commitment to delivering precision-engineered, high-quality products on schedule and within budget.


As the Quality Manager, you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance and control, with a strong focus on PCB manufacturing processes. You will be instrumental in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance, managing inspection teams, interfacing with clients, and driving continuous improvement throughout the production lifecycle. You'll have access to advanced ERP systems, state-of-the-art equipment, and a strong internal knowledge base to support quality initiatives and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities/ Principal Duties:

  • Serve as the ISO 9001 Management Representative, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of the company’s quality management system.
  • Maintain and control all ISO-related documentation, including forms, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Lead and execute internal audits; schedule and conduct Management Review meetings.
  • Review and approve process changes, production traveler adjustments, and maintain the quality alert system.
  • Inspect and assess incoming broker components and PCBs to ensure they meet company and customer standards.
  • Develop and manage vendor/supplier evaluations, including issuing SCARs as needed.
  • Oversee training programs for production staff, including annual ISO training and certification to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Recommend and coordinate external training opportunities for staff in collaboration with leadership.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action processes by working directly with customers and integrating improvements into internal operations.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Quality Inspectors, ensuring inspections meet company and industry standards.
  • Monitor process quality using AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment and ensure the effectiveness of first-piece and random sampling inspections.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics and key measurables; lead problem-solving efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and customer service teams to uphold quality objectives.
  • Work schedule is a 40 hour work week as follows: Monday-Thursdays full days (9 hours M-Th with flexible start-stop times); plus four hours on Friday mornings. Total of forty hours per week.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Administration or Quality Engineering, preferably in electronics or similar small-parts manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a relevant technical field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with PCB components and processes is a huge plus.
  • Proven experience managing a small to mid-sized team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing process audits, supplier quality management.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the ability to prioritize and drive results in a fast-paced production setting.

Salary : $82,000 - $100,000
