Job Overview:
We are looking for a produce merchandiser to join our team! You will be responsible for stocking and rotating daily produce items and occasional seasonal displays within a produce department per store staff direction. Early morning shifts start time at 6am. Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Stock and replenish produce displays to ensure availability and freshness
- Clean and maintain the produce department to meet health and safety standards
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels and rotating products
- Provide accurate information about produce items, including origin, seasonality, and preparation methods
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Experience in inventory control is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in the work area
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
