Duties
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions before, during, and after surgery.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and support as needed.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy as prescribed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe surgical environment.
Skills
- Proficient in clinical practices related to the Operating Room setting
- Ability to perform catheter care and manage laboratory specimens effectively.
- Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center is advantageous.
