LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - PT Night Hinds County Detention Centers

Position Summary:

The Part-Time LPN provides quality patient care within their licensed scope of practice under the supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Director of Nursing (DON), RN, or medical provider. The LPN plays a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of individuals within the correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition
• Conduct wound care and dressing changes as needed
• Support health promotion and restoration through patient care planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in the MAR and patient records
• Follow facility protocols, safety procedures, and HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Current Mississippi LPN license
• Active CPR certification
• Familiarity with correctional or institutional healthcare a plus
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on the assigned alternating schedule
