Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Distribution Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks within our distribution center, ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various equipment, contributing to a smooth workflow in our operations.
Responsibilities
- · Following written instructions and training for job-related tasks
· Performing a variety of warehousing tasks to include:
o Processing receipts from vendors
o Managing inventory in storage locations
o Fulfilling orders using scanners, documents and software
o Inspect and examine orders for accuracy
o Packing orders for delivery to customers
o Operating shipping software for package assignment to common carriers
o Perform physical inventories and cycle counts
o Accept and log returned products
· Keep work area clean and organized.
· Participate in assigned maintenance and cleaning schedules.
· Work with Customer Service to deliver a quality experience to the customer
· Complete all paperwork in a timely and legible manner.
Operate pallet jacks, mobile ladder/stairs, forklift or handtrucks to move inventory
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and management.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform lifting as needed while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Experience working in a distribution center or similar environment is preferred.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
