What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Profile MD ?
Ideal candidate will have experience in medical aesthetics or cosmetic surgery practice. Ideal candidate will speak Spanish. Under daily supervision of R.N., Doctors, and Practice Manager. Set up each room and warm up all lasers as needed. Room patients in a timely and friendly manner. Make sure all rooms are stocked with supplies as needed. Check Autoclave, spore test, EKG and defibrillator. Make sure all charts have the proper procedure papers and everything is signed by the patient before they are placed in the exam room. Clean room between each patient. Make sure ALL blood and trays are Disposed of in Biohazard bin and Sani - Cloth everything. Maintain a tidy appearance of rooms, keep cords organized, mirrors clean, etc. Handle biopsy submission. Mark all procedures in the log book. Check rooms for expired items that need disposal and make sure the oldest stock is ALWAYS in the front. Sterilize, wrap then autoclave ALL trays, scissors, hemostat, and forceps. Make sure TVs are on each morning and off each night. Replace full sharps containers. Complete biopsy log and call patients. Keep balloons and numbing needles stocked. Support front desk staff as needed. Must be familiar with scheduling appointments, and invoicing / checking out patients. Other duties, as needed. Clinical M.A. must stay until clinical providers have completed all appointments. Remain cross-trained in order to be able to sub for Surgical M.A. as needed. M.A. must contact practice manager, and notify nurse, doctors, and front desk by text in the event of any lateness or unplanned absences. Job Types : Full-time, Part-time
Pay : $20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
Expected hours : 28 – 32 per week, with possibility of more seasonally
