Public Relations Account Executive

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 years of experience appropriate for the role outlined below (agency experience preferred)
• Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and efficient
• Ability to prioritize work and multi-task
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the use of Apple technology and an understanding of interoffice communications tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams
• Strong writing and editing skills with a knowledge of AP-style
• Ability to illustrate results and go the extra mile for clients
• Knowledge of various social media platforms as well as mail distribution programs such as MailChimp and/or Constant Contact

ESTIMATED WEEKLY HOURS: ~40 hours with the understanding that things come up outside of normal business hours that may need attention such as crisis communications, media opportunities, client events, etc.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time, salaried

"HYBRID": PROFILES has an office in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore City where team members can choose to come together to collaborate in-person. While we have a physical office, we maintain a work-from-anywhere philosophy allowing employees to work from wherever they would like to do so. However, as a PR professional, there are times when you will be needed in-person for client meetings, events, media opportunities, etc. and it is expected that employees attend these.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the development and implementation of PR strategies on behalf of clients
• Write press materials (press releases, strategy documents, talking points, bylined articles, etc.)
• Assist with media management (coordination of interviews, distribution of press materials, attending media opportunities, etc.)
• Media list-building and database management
• Build and maintain relationships with media and influencer contacts
• Conduct research for client initiatives
• Monitor media coverage, analyze data and create coverage reports for clients
• Client services to include relationship building and maintenance, regular communication and leading/participating in meetings
• Assist with meeting preparation for account teams
• Research opportunities for executive visibility and awards for clients
• Proofreading
• Provide event production support, when needed
• Co-manage the company internship program, supporting the next generation of PR professionals
